In Quebec, winter tires are mandatory from December 1 to March 15. We stock the sizes Greater Montreal actually drives on, all carrying the mountain-snowflake (3PMSF) symbol, with same-day installation when the size is in the warehouse.

The Quebec rule, plainly
Every passenger vehicle registered in Quebec must run four compliant winter tires from December 1 to March 15. The tires must carry the mountain-snowflake pictogram; an « M+S » marking alone is no longer enough. Fines run from $200 to $300 plus fees.
When to book the swap
Rule of thumb: below 7 °C summer rubber hardens and stops less well. Around Greater Montreal that usually happens in mid-October. The last two weeks of November are the rush — shops fill up and popular sizes sell out. Booking in October costs the same and avoids the wait.
Winter versus all-season
A winter tire stays soft down to -30 °C and bites into packed snow. A winter-rated all-season (mountain-snowflake) is legal but gives up grip on clear ice. For a car that stays in town a rated all-season can be enough; for the bridges, the highways and trips outside Montreal, a true winter tire wins.
What it costs, all in
The price shown on each tire is before tax and already includes the Quebec environmental fee. Installation (mount and balance, four wheels) is a separate flat package, and delivery is free everywhere we serve.
